London Lip Fillers
Lip enhancement with dermal fillers to add an oomph factor to your lips
Most commonly known for its ability to add volume to the lips, lip injections are also utilised to minimise wrinkles around the lip area and achieve a more youthful appearance. The treatment involves injecting a filler substance, such as hyaluronic acid, into the lips to enhance their appearance.
The main goals of the lip enhancement include:
Lip enhancement procedures, including lip plumping, lip reshaping, and lip contouring, are all aimed at modifying the lip shape and size using injectable fillers.Fillers are injected into specific areas of the lips to achieve the desired effect. The procedure can create a fuller upper lip by injecting the filler into the border of the upper lip. The filler can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by injecting it around the lips. Injecting the filler into the corners of the mouth can lift drooping corners and create a more pleasant expression.
Lip enhancement is a relatively simple treatment that can help enhance the appearance of the lips. Hyaluronic acid is well-tolerated by the body and breaks down over time, providing a natural-looking and temporary enhancement. During a consultation, a qualified practitioner should discuss the duration and maintenance of lip fillers with the patient to determine the best treatment plan.
It's important to understand that frequent or excessive injections should be avoided to prevent complications and maintain natural-looking results. There is no hard limit to how long someone can have lip fillers, but it's recommended to use them judiciously to ensure safety and effectiveness. With careful consideration and consultation with a qualified practitioner, lip augmentation can help enhance the appearance of the lips and provide a safe and effective way to achieve desired results.

Lip Filler Procedure
Before Lip Filler treatment
Lip fillers are personalised procedures tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of every patient. Apart from discussing the expectations of each patient so that we can create a tailored treatment to suit their needs, it’s also important to discuss their medical history.
Before the lip filler injections, we need to know if the patient has any allergies or sensitivities or if they are taking any medications, as some medications can increase the risk of bleeding or bruising, such as aspirin and ibuprofen.
There is also a standard practice for the patient to sign a consent form. This form will outline the details of the procedure, including the potential risks and benefits.
During Lip Filler treatment
The procedure takes from 15 to 30 minutes depending on the amount of filler being used.
Before the injections, the doctor will numb the lips with topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort. Then he will inject the filler using a fine needle or a cannula (a thin, flexible tube) and may massage the lips to ensure that the filler is evenly distributed.
Our doctors are experienced in administering lip filler injections, so they are always very careful to avoid injecting the filler too close to the blood vessels in the lips, as this can lead to complications such as bruising or skin necrosis.
After Lip Filler treatment
After having lip filler injections, patients will experience some swelling, bruising, or redness. These side effects are usually mild and should resolve within a few days.
We give our patients specific instructions on how to care for their lips after the procedure. In general, they should avoid vigorous activities for at least a few days after the procedure and wear makeup or skincare products on the treated area for at least a few hours and avoid alcohol for a day or two.
The longevity of lip filler treatment depends on the type of filler used and the individual's body. Some types of lip fillers can last for several months, while others may last for up to a year or more.
